The scope of the project was to create a special environment for the integration of orthodox religious students into the labor market. In addition to the donation of land by the Municipality of Bnei Brak, 70% of the US$6.5 million budget was donations. The program provides a central kitchen, dining hall for all students, employment classrooms teaching new skills to those able to do so, and therapy and relaxation facilities for the needy. The central kitchen itself provides employment by catering for Ohel Sara's other facilities.
